Guardianship at LSI College
All international students under the age of 18, and studying for a full academic year, must have a designated Education Guardian while in the UK. This provision helps to improve the communication between the college and the student's parents or carers, and ensures that there is always a local contact person available to act on behalf of the student in case of emergencies.
UKGuardianship (UKG) provides comprehensive support services for international students throughout
their UK education journey. Their WeCare A++ program offers complete academic and personal support
including regular progress monitoring, mentoring, university preparation guidance, 24/7 emergency
assistance, visa and documentation help, accommodation arrangements, and transportation services.
Students receive dedicated support for their wellbeing, academic progress, university applications, CV
development, and extra-curricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience with
assistance from experienced educational guardians. Required for students under 18 years old.
The Education Guardian should be resident in the UK, fluent in English, and, in most instances, be aged over 25. Students have the option to enlist the services of professional guardianship companies, or they may choose a family member or friend for this role. For those seeking assistance in selecting a suitable guardian, LSI College works with an AEGIS and British Council accredited partner, UK Guardians.

The guardian’s details must be included on the accommodation and college registration forms and consent letters. Please let us know at the time of your application if you should require any assistance in selecting a guardian. Our college staff will be happy to help.

- The student’s 24/7 contact
- The parents or carer’s 24/7 contact
- An intermediary between the school and the parent or carer
