Job Title: Business and Economics Teacher (A Level & Foundation Programme)
Location: LSI Independent College, London (Face-to-Face) or Remote (Online)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Negotiable)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by agreement)


About the Role
LSI Independent College is currently inviting applications for two teaching positions in Business and Economics, to support our A Level and Foundation Programme students:
      A Face-to-Face teaching role at our central London campus
      An Online teaching role delivered remotely (no on-site attendance required)
These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to a high-achieving independent sixth form college that prepares students for entry into leading UK universities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach A Level (AQA) and Foundation Business and/or Economics to students aged 16–19
  • Plan and deliver engaging, effective lessons aligned with exam board standards
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments and provide tailored feedback
  • Support student development through structured exam practice, independent learning strategies, and classroom interaction
  • Participate in internal moderation, curriculum development, and academic support
Essential Requirements
  • A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Business and/or Economics at A Level or equivalent post-16 level
  • Excellent communication and lesson delivery skills (online or in-person)
  • Commitment to academic excellence and learner progression
Desirable
  • Ability to teach Mathematics at A Level and/or Foundation level
  • Experience working with international students
  • Familiarity with UK exam boards, especially AQA and Pearson Edexcel
  • PhD students in relevant areas of study (Business, Economics, Finance, etc.) are warmly encouraged to apply
